What Hands Down is

Hands Down is a webcam awareness tool that alerts you when a hand moves toward a watch zone you enable. It is a personal awareness aid. It is not medical advice, a diagnosis, a medical device, or a substitute for care from a licensed professional, and it makes no promises about health outcomes.

Your account

You need an account to use the app. You must be at least 13 years old, provide a real email address you control, and keep your password secure. You are responsible for activity on your account. We may suspend or delete accounts used to abuse, attack, or disrupt the service.

Free features and the one-time unlock

The core tool is free: live detection, alarms, all four watch zones, driving mode, daily counts, trend charts, and false-alarm reclassification. A one-time purchase of $17.99 adds cross-device sync and backup, the Journey timeline, day notes, and CSV and JSON exports. The unlock is a personal license tied to your account. It is a single payment; there is no subscription and no recurring charge.

Payments are processed by Stripe. Prices may change for future purchasers; an unlock you already bought stays yours.

Refunds

If the unlock does not work for you, email support@tryhandsdown.com within 14 days of purchase and we will refund it in full.

Acceptable use

Use Hands Down only to monitor yourself, or someone who has explicitly agreed to it. Do not use it to monitor another person without their knowledge and consent, and do not attempt to probe, overload, or reverse the service's account or payment systems.

Warranty and liability

The service is provided as is, without warranties of any kind. Detection is best-effort and will sometimes miss events or alarm falsely. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim related to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

Ending service and changes

You can stop using Hands Down and request account deletion at any time. We may modify or discontinue features with reasonable notice; if we ever discontinue the service entirely, we will give purchasers notice and a window to export their data. We may update these terms, and material changes will be noted here with a new date.
